Mr. Chintanaseri graduated with his LL.B. from Thammasat University (Bangkok) in 1962 while also working as a civil servant at the Office of the Prime Minister. He became a Barrister-at-Law (Thailand) in 1964 and was later awarded a scholarship by the Bank of Thailand to study law at Lincoln's Inn in London. After being called to the Bar in 1970, Mr. Chintanaseri returned to work for the Bank of Thailand where he served in various departments including the Office of the Governor, and with his last position being that of Deputy Director of the Legal Department. In 1982, Mr. Chintanaseri joined the private sector and combined his already well reputed legal and financial knowledge with the expansion of the international capital market in Thailand. His positions included Thai representative of Banque Nationale de Paris, Vice President in charge of International Banking Department of Siam Commercial Bank and President of Bara Development Finance and Securities Co., Ltd. In 1996, he completed a four year term as President of the Stock Exchange of Thailand thus highlighting to Thais and expats alike his recognized talents of intellectual integrity and loyal service to the public and private sectors in the Kingdom of Thailand. His other experiences at the national level include serving as advisor to the former Finance Minister and the former Deputy Prime Minister (Dr. Virabongse Ramangkura).
